Each gash in its battered body oozed mortar, and stone tears fell uncontrollably, helplessly, to form puddles of memories and dust. Agonising shards of glass pierced its heart and the breath was shocked from its lungs, leaving it winded and gasping for life. The once lofty, proud tower now slumps, broken, and powerless, as if its soul has been severed, and its innards have been exposed to the elements. Will paramedics be able to save the dying Cathedral?
