Budgeting Task;

This is a ‘real life’ task. Any decisions you make must be supported with evidence, either copies of newspaper/online adverts or details from specific companies/people you have talked to.
You may present it anyway you wish, but I suggest a folder or using Google Doc’s.
You must write an introductory paragraph explaining your situation.
We will share our finished projects on THURSDAY 8th December
You are a single person 18 years of age
You have left school with no unit standards or recognisable qualifications OR you are a student who is in yo7ur first year at University.
You have $800 in the bank
You may take nothing with you from your parent’s home
You are not allowed to borrow money other than a student loan.
You may choose to own a car
Your challenge is to carry out the following tasks:
- You will need to find yourself a local job
- You will need to find suitable accommodation in the area
- You will need to join a sports club or pay a subscription
- You need to create a weekly, monthly and yearly budget, on separate pages
You will need to insure your car (if you own one) and your household contents
- You will need to write a shopping list for each week in a month
- You are going to attend a 21st in Nelson, so you will need plan the trip and work the cost
- You may purchase one main item on hire purchase
