The only two walls left standing looked like they would crush under your very touch. The once solid bricks no longer looked new and clean but now appeared old and worn down, unable to withstand a another aftershock. Devastating cracks in the crippled structure were no comparison to the cracks in people’s lives. No one will forget the Christchurch earthquake, as it will be remembered forever in history. An example of my descriptive writing The golden sunlight bounded around the grey rocks reflecting myself against the trees dancing in the cool breeze, lapping at the water which was crystal clear and Shone like one thousand diamonds glittering in the sunlight, a few clouds drifted round the sun getting ready to drop little crystals of liquid on to the ruby red soft as silk rose petals. the rose’s faintly swaying in the breeze, brought the scent nectar honey and pine against the clean smell I love. The springy moss bounced into place as I leaped from rock to rock creating a whirlpools where I landed in the icy water I could hear the birds singing to them selves’ as the grass tickled my toes as I sat down to enjoy my lunch.
